Terms of Service

Note for Bob, not for the public. This page is a plain-language summary only. It is not the service agreement and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. The signed contract and liability waiver in your NOTES/Contracts folder is the document that governs, and it needs a BC lawyer to look at it before you use it again. What we do

We attend your property on an agreed schedule, work through an agreed inspection list, take photographs, and send you a written report. What we agree to attend for, and how often, is set out in your service agreement.

What we do not do

We do not guarantee that nothing will happen to your property.
We do not certify that your insurance policy conditions have been met. We provide the record; whether it satisfies your policy is between you and your insurer.
We are not a licensed contractor and we do not carry out trade work.
We do not appraise or value property or contents.

Attendance

We attend as agreed. Where weather, road closures, ferry cancellations or unsafe conditions prevent it, we will tell you, record why, and attend as soon as it is safe. We will not put anyone on a road that is not safe to be on.

Keys and access

Keys are held in a locked safe, tagged by code and never by address. Removals and returns are logged. Keys are returned or destroyed on request and always when service ends.

Referral fees

Where we recommend a trade or contractor from whom we may receive a referral fee, we tell you so in writing at the time of the recommendation. You are always free to use anyone you choose.

Fees and tax

Fees are as set out in your service agreement. Applicable taxes are shown separately on your invoice.

Cancellation

Either of us may end the arrangement on written notice as set out in the service agreement. Your visit records remain available to you after service ends.
