Keyholder and Contractor Access
Someone local with a key, so a trade appointment does not need a ferry crossing.
The problem this solves
A plumber can come Tuesday between nine and one. You live in Vancouver. That appointment costs you a day, two ferry crossings and the better part of two hundred dollars in travel, to stand in your own kitchen and watch someone else work.
We hold a key and go instead.
What we attend for
- Trades and repair contractors
- Insurance adjusters and appraisers
- Utility, internet, and propane technicians
- Deliveries and installations that need someone present
- Building inspections and assessments
How your keys are held
- All keys are kept inside a lockbox, in a locked safe, in a locked office, inside a locked, secure building
- Tags carry a code only. Your address is never written on a key
- Every removal and return is logged, with the reason and the date
- Keys are returned or destroyed on request, and always when service ends
What it costs
A monthly retainer covers holding the keys and being available. Attendance is billed by the hour with a two-hour minimum, because a two-hour window is what a trade appointment is.
Please note. Keys, alarm codes, lockbox and gate combinations, and everything we see or record at a property are held in strict confidence. We let in the people you tell us to let in, and we confirm identity at the door. We do not supervise the work itself or accept responsibility for a contractor's workmanship.
