The gap a scheduled visit cannot close
A burst supply line runs until somebody shuts it off. On a three-day inspection interval, the worst case is three days of water before anyone knows. The visit finds the damage. It does not prevent it.
Sensors close that gap. A leak detector at the water heater and under the kitchen sink, a temperature sensor in the coldest room, and a hub that notices when the power fails. Between them these catch the three failures that account for most of what goes wrong in an empty coastal house.
It works without your internet
Most vacation properties have no broadband, or have it disconnected over the winter. The equipment we install does not use yours. The hub carries its own cellular connection and its own battery, so it keeps reporting through a power cut, and the power cut is itself one of the things it reports. The sensors reach the hub by long-range radio, so one hub covers the house, the crawlspace and the outbuildings.
Sensor batteries last about five years. There is nothing to plug in, nothing to charge, and no reason for us to visit just to service it.
How the alerts work
- Alerts go to you, by text and email, as soon as a sensor reports
- We receive the same alert and follow up, usually by attending the property
- Readings are kept, so a report can show the interior temperature across the whole winter
- What each sensor reported is recorded against the property, alongside the visit history
Getting started
Installation is a single appointment. Everything is battery powered and adhesive-mounted; nothing is wired in and nothing is drilled. Keys, alarm codes, lockbox and gate combinations, and everything we see or record at a property are held in strict confidence. Ask us for a quote based on the size and layout of your property.
